Stone and Steel Gym is A 24/7 gym in Potsdam NY founded for one purpose: to help the residents of Northern NY live longer, healthier, more capable lives.
Stone and Steel is a self service gym, featuring a wide range of free weights, strength machines, cardio machines, and strongman equipment.
Stone and Steel doesn't offer personal training services, but we do allow independent personal trainers to train clients in our gym at no additional charge.
All standard and discounted memberships are auto-renewing and can be cancelled through our app at any time, no contract, no minimums. Week and Day passes are non-renewing one time purchases.
Active duty military, veterans, first responders and seniors (65+), and students* (13 - 21) all receive $5 off per month on any of our standard priced monthly, quarterly, or yearly plans. Must present identification at time of signup to qualify.
*Student plans grant gym access from 5am - 10pm. Members 17 and under must have a parent or guardian present to sign up. Members 14 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
Student memberships can request a free account hold for summer and winter breaks.
Many employers and health insurance plans offer gym membership reimbursements that can cover part of or even your entire Stone and Steel membership. We're compiling a list of what companies in our area offer gym reimbursements and how to take advantage of them to make it as simple as possible for our members. Check to see whether you qualify for a free or discounted membership.
Stone and Steel Gym members have access to the gym 24/7.
New member sign ups and visitor day passes are available during staffed hours or by appointment.

All members are expected to be helpful, friendly, courteous, and kind to other members.
Always prepare to fail a lift in a safe, controlled manner, without harming yourself, others, or equipment. Do not bench alone.
If you're not sure, ask.
Pick up after yourself and re-rack your weights.
No outside shoes. All members must wear appropriate footwear and clothing.
All members must scan in. Do not hold the door.
Check overhead clearance before lifting overhead.
Be mindful of noise. We want to be good neighbors to other businesses in our building.
